Our Birds
Meet some of the many wonderful birds living at TLC Bird Haven.


 

Elvis
Elvis is a Citron Cockatoo. He is on the endangered species list. Elvis is a silly guy and loves to dance and play peek-a-boo.

Stinkers
Stinkers is a Mexican Redhead (Amazon family). She prefers to hang out on a tree branch when she's not socializing, but she also loves to play with toys.
Sam
Sam is an Oranged Winged Amazon and is 32 years old. He has an infectious laugh and loves to get his head scratched and loves to chat. Sam's a socialite!

Elmo
Elmo is an Alexandrine Ringneck Parakeet. He was found walking up the middle of the street!
Lance & Sydney
Lance is a Blue & Gold Macaw and Sydney is a Catalina, a cross between a Blue & Gold Macaw and a Scarlet Macaw. These two say "Hello" & "Goodbye" to everyone they meet!

Parrots are birds of the roughly 372 species in 86 genera, and most are found in warm and tropical regions. The order is subdivided in three families: the Psittacidae ("true" parrots), the Cacatuidae (cockatoos) and the Nestoridae (New Zealand parrots). Parrots have a pan-tropical distribution with several species inhabiting the temperate Southern Hemisphere. The greatest diversity of parrots is found in South America and Australasia.
